Can't remember the exact date but it was about 74, I spent some time living with Chris and Pauline (my sister). It was a mad time of parties that had no reason other than the next door neibours cat's birthday or something stupid like that, water fights in abundance etc.. a very mad time. The Beach Boy's had just released a greatest hits album and me in my wisdom never stopped playing it day and night every day, and it started off being welcomed by everyone, but as usual I wore it out and everyone got very p***ed of with it. I came home from work one day about 6ish and not knowing what had happened, Chris was doing night work and had been home all day doing bit's and pieces and listening to the radio. There had been a tribute to the Beach Boy's for some reason and pretty much every second or third song that had been played all day was a Beach Boy song, Chris greeted me at the door and said if you put that f***ing record on tonight I will break it across your head and make you eat the remains. It must have taken ages for him to got so p***ed off but I managed it. There will never be another like Chris and everyone misses him so much.....
