Christmas' With Dad

Its not exactly one memory that i want to share or even a specific time i want to share with you. I was thinking yesterday about christmas as its coming up and all the ads are on the television again, anyway i was thinking about what Dad was like on the run up and on the actual day. I remember when i was loads younger how Dad was always there with the camera to catch us on the day getting exactly what we wanted. It never mattered what it was he and Mum always found a way to make it great. Later when we grew up and things started to be less "kid" orientated we sort of changed our christmas tradition to make it that we would do the whole thing on Christmas eve night. I always remember for the few years this happened, how we'd wait in for him to get back from work and then it would start. One year it seemed just like old times when we got him his digital camera, he was right there fiddling and getting pics of everyone again. He always said exactly what a bad event christmas was and grumbled and moaned but when it came down to it; deep inside he loved being with his family. I remember all the effort he used to put into it (the whole Christmas thing), he would always be outside in the kitchen cooking up a storm (as mum wasn't allowed to). He would make his "famous" mince pies and everyone would love it. Then Boxing Day would come round and in our house it would be an open house where friends and family would just turn up and have a great time, this is where Dad would always be in his element just playing with the kids that would always be in toe.
